Fresh off their wildly successful Group Therapy Miami party, Above & Beyond has released the Love Is Not Enough EP featuring Zoë Johnston, now available worldwide.

An elegant, melodic, progressive builder with stirring strings and poignant vocals from Zoë Johnston, “Love Is Not Enough” perfectly captures the bittersweet beauty of an intense, but ultimately unsuccessful relationship. The track is the latest single from Above & Beyond’s critically acclaimed Group Therapy album, which Mixmag deemed the “artist album of the year” for 2011.

‘Love Is Not Enough’ is a song from the heart about the challenges in a relationship that can arise outside of a core feeling of love for someone. Love is not enough to be with someone – a relationship needs to work day to day.” says Jono Grant of Above & Beyond.

Adding some stadium-sized energy to the EP is the huge, groove-fueled Above & Beyond Club Mix in all its riff-driven glory. It has received huge responses on the trio’s recent North America tour, as well as at the Group Therapy Miami event.

The North America version of the Love Is Not Enough EP, out on Ultra Music, also includes the Andrew Bayer & James Grant remix of Above & Beyond’s “Prelude.”

Further packages will be released next week on Monday, April 2, including remixes from US dance heavyweight Kaskade, the prolific Mat Zo under his drum & bass guise MRZO, rising stars Maor Levi & Bluestone and bass/electronica producer Syknro.

Having sold out the Hollywood Palladium in record time last year, Above & Beyond will return Los Angeles for Group Therapy LA with three gigs at the prestigious Shrine Auditorium on May 17, 18 & 19. Tickets have already sold out for the May 18 & 19, but you can get tickets for Thursday show HERE.

Above & Beyond Return To Los Angeles: Group Therapy 2012 - May 18th @ Shrine Auditorium

On May 18thAbove & Beyond will return to Los Angeles, playing the landmark Shrine Auditorium during Part 2 of their 2012 North American Tour.

In 2010 Jono, Paavo & Tony sold out LA’s Hollywood Palladium for their 350th radio show (TATW) celebrations, the biggest party on the Anjunabeats calendar. In 2011, they sold out two shows at the same venue in just 48 hours. This year they return toCalifornia to take on one of LA’s biggest and most historical venues, bringing the full Group Therapy experience with them.

Centered around their critically acclaimed second artist album ‘Group Therapy’ (“the biggest artist album of the year” -Mixmag) – which features the hits “Sun & Moon” and “Thing Called Love”, Above & Beyond’s show takes the DJ set up into the realm of concert theater with emotive visuals, live video messaging from the band, and a story-telling theme, creating a unique dance floor experience for Above & Beyond’s legions of Los Angeles fans.

As described by Jono from Above & Beyond, “LA has always been an extremely special place for us where some of our most dedicated fans live. It’s one of our favorite places in the world to perform, and we can’t wait to bring Group Therapy back for 2012.”

After last years sell-out shows, Above & Beyond are establishing a priority access sign up system, which will guarantee their biggest fans get the first chance at buying tickets to be part of the #GroupTherapyLA experience.  All you have to to is visit Above & Beyond > LA Signup Facebook Page and enter your email address to be registered.

With the past two editions both hitting #1 in the iTunes Dance Albums Chart, Anjunadeep 04 mixed by Jaytech and James Grant arrives with the label in better health than ever before – as evidenced by a recent DJ Mag nomination for ‘Best British Record Label’.

The last 12 months has seen the Above & Beyond imprint unveil one of house music’s hottest new talents in Dusky, whose album ‘Stick By This’ has been acclaimed by everyone from DJ Mag (“an intoxicating album full of life and flashes of brilliance ****”) to Pete Tong – with Tong naming it as one of his favourite albums of the year – while other Anjunadeep artists such as Matt Lange and Andrew Bayer on the label have blossomed, the former being described by BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe as “the new Deadmau5″ and the latter’s ‘It’s Artificial’ LP winning plaudits from Lowe again and even day Radio 1 host Nick Grimshaw.

Showcasing tracks and remixes from acts like Dusky, Tom Middleton, Maceo Plex, Vincenzo, Solarity and Andrew Bayer, ‘Anjunadeep04′ mixed by Jaytech & James Grant is the latest showcase of the label’s evolution; a 28 track journey through deep house, immersive melodic grooves and modern progressive.

Representing the deeper, more house-influenced end of Anjunadeep’s increasingly wide spectrum, label A&R James Grant effortlessly combines warm Maceo Plex’esque electronics, classic deep house vibes (Dusky “Lost Highway”), low-bass grooves (Tom Middleton’s Liquatech Mix of Paronator “No Gravity”) and the melodic house sound in which Anjunadeep has made its name.

Grant also contributes three remixes to the mix in collaboration with Andrew Bayer and acknowledges the key role played by Bayer in achieving the desired sound for CD1: “We had a clear vision for where we wanted the mix to head and Andrew really helped me realise that in this mix,” says Grant.

Taking time out from finishing his highly anticipated second artist album, AustralianAnjunadeep star Jaytech picks up the baton and pursues the more upbeat side of the label’s sound. From the future disco synths of Suspect 44’s “Neon Feel” to the melodic big room tech of Soundprank’s “Boundless Energy”, the Australian lays down a masterclass in modern progressive. Bringing things to an emphatic climax, Jaytech’s own “Atlantic” is the perfect embodiment of the musicality and class sewn into the mix.

To celebrate the upcoming release of ‘Anjunadeep 04′, James Grant and Jaytech have each mixed a 15 minute mini-mix of their respective CDs:

Above & Beyond
Announce #GroupTherapyMiami
with Arty, Mat Zo, Jaytech and Boom Jinx

Miami Music Week 2012
Thursday, March 22nd
Bayfront Park Amphitheatre

Above & Beyond: Paavo Siljamäki, Tony McGuinness, and Jono Grant

Above & Beyond are bringing the Group Therapy experience to Miami Music Week 2012 with a special event at the legendary Bayfront Park Amphitheatre on Thursday March 22.

Joining Above & Beyond will be an all-star quartet of producers from their scene-leading Anjunabeats label - Mat Zo, Arty, Jaytech and Boom Jinx. Covering the full spectrum of the Anjunabeats sound, the event runs from 5pm to 11pm EST.

21 year old Arty should need no introduction having taken the trance and house worlds by storm in the past 18 months – melding them together in a way not seen before. 2011 saw him rise to #25 in the DJMag Top 100 poll, collaborate with Dirty South, perform NYE in New York City for a sold-out crowd of 10,000 revelers, plus gain support from the likes of Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Swedish House Mafia, and of course, Avicii.

Next to take on Miami is Anjunabeats’ very own ‘”Superman” Mat Zo, also just 21 years of age.  He has consistently cemented a reputation as one of the label’s most prolific, innovative and forward-thinking artists – with recent hits including “Bipolar”, the Skrillex-supported “Mozart” (with Arty) and “Superman” itself. The only man to top the Beatport trance and drum & bass charts simultaneously, Zo is currently working on his hugely anticipated debut artist album, which is primed to showcase his maverick talents in full effect.

Having topped the iTunes Dance Album Chart for two years running with his Anjunadeep 02 & 03 compilations, rising Australian DJ Jaytech is again mixing Anjunadeep 04 this coming February and has a new artist album planned for the summer. Jaytech is a man on a mission and the perfect choice to warm up a buzzing #GroupTherapyMiami crowd.

Finally, also joining this colossal Group Therapy Miami line up is Norwegian uber-producer Boom Jinx, one of Anjunabeats’ most talented, prolific and eclectic artists, with recent work ranging from the massive vocal trance anthem “Phoenix From The Flames” to deep progressive gem “Pieces Of The Puzzle” with Soundprank.

Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy show is centered around their critically acclaimed second artist album (“the biggest artist album of the year” – Mixmag), which features Billboard Dance hits like “Sun & Moon” and “Thing Called Love” – as well as their forthcoming single “Love Is Not Enough”. The show’s production takes the DJ set up into the realm of concert theatre, with emotive visuals, live video messaging from the band and a story-telling theme, combining to create a unique dancefloor experience for fans.

Above & Beyond and their Anjunabeats label have also been nominated for a host of awards in the IDMA Final Ballot – which will be announced during Miami music week. Above & Beyond have been nominated for Best European DJ and Best Artist (Group), with their huge “Sun & Moon” anthem in the Best Trance Track category and Anjunabeats in the Best Label category. Completing their nominations is Trance Around The World, which is in the running for the Best Radio Mix Show. You can vote here.

The #GroupTherapyMiami event forms part of the Ultra Live series. Tickets are on sale here.

Above & Beyond’s 2011 has been all about one thing – landmarks. In January they celebrated 10 years of their ever-growing Anjunabeats label, before March’s 200th single release on the imprint; the genre defying anthem and Beatport #1 hit “Rebound” by Arty & Mat Zo.

In April, Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamäki then embarked on their biggest ever tour of the US with a road blocked 22-date stretch, including two sold out shows at LA’s legendary Hollywood Palladium, with the first selling out in just 90 minutes – a new record for the legendary venue.

After seeing their “Sun & Moon” anthem playlisted by BBC Radio 1 and reach the top 15 of the Billboard Dance Charts in the US, the trio were ready to unleash their second artist album –Group Therapy. Earning them a cover star interview with DJ Magazine and described as “stadium dance with an incredibly personal feel” and “artist album of the year” in a Mixmag review, the string-laden album has been praised by critics and fans alike as a masterpiece in emotive, song-based electronic music.

In such a fast moving year, it seems fitting to close on a familiar totem pole in Above & Beyond’s annual calendar; their Anjunabeats Volume series. Capturing the sound of a label that has dominated Beatport charts and been supported this year by DJs as diverse as The Swedish House Mafia, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren and David Guetta, Anjunabeats Volume 9 offers 2xCDs of predominantly unreleased, exclusive tracks from artists like Arty, Mat Zo, Super8 & Tab, Andrew Bayer, Jaytech, Maor Levi and Above & Beyond themselves.

Modern, melodic and emotive, Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats sound remains unrestricted from one-dimensional genre restrictions. From the reflective, filmic pianos of Above & Beyond’s own unreleased “Tokyo” through hypnotic progressive sounds like Jaytech’s “Overdrive” to the synth-frenzy of Nitrous Oxide’s “iPeople” and the explosive funk-charged house fusion of Mat Zo and Arty’s brand new collaboration “Mozart”, Anjunabeats Volume 9 captures the full emotional intensity of the Above & Beyond DJ experience.

Also including Above & Beyond’s futuristic electro-edged anthem “Formula Rossa”, Anjunabeats Volume 9 covers the work of over 20 artists – a testament to the vibrant, tightly bound label family that Anjunabeats has evolved into.

Above & Beyond will be broadcasting the 400th episode of their Trance Around The Worldradio show via a special live eight hour broadcast from Beirut, Lebanon on 26th November - with guests Gareth Emery, Kyau & Albert, Mat Zo and Jaytech. For full info check out tatw400.com.

Firmly established as the UK’s most popular DJ/producers, Above & Beyond are at a tipping point with the release of their second album Group Therapy, music videos for its acclaimed singles Sun & Moon and Thing Called Love, and Group Therapy North America Tour with several sold-out dates. The album out today is already #1 on iTunes Dance Albums/US.

Bringing Above & Beyond’s renowned blend of classic song-writing values and sleek electronic production into a contemporary context, their second album ‘Group Therapy’extends their appeal into the furthest reaches yet. Combining elements of trance 2.0, house, electronica and even modern classical, ‘Group Therapy’ is a complete listening experience that includes the bittersweet orchestral beauty of piano opener “Filmic,” the dark tale of edgy electronic-house anthem “Black Room Boy” and the ambient electronica of “Sun In Your Eyes” – a track which recalls ambient’s early-90s glory days of Global Communication, Pete Namlook et al. With tales of loves lost, found and confused at Group Therapy’s heart, highlights like “Alchemy” and “You Got To Go” (both sung by former Faithless/Bent vocalist Zöe Johnston) are the antithesis of throwaway club music – adding depth, meaning and classic songwriting values to an album destined to go down as one of electronic music’s classic moments.

Group Therapy’s first single “Sun & Moon (feat. Richard Bedford)” is a synth-driven stadium dance number that has hooked major props from dance music mogul Pete Tong and been playlisted on BBC Radio 1 – topping both the iTunes Dance and Beatport Trance charts along the way. The latest single “Thing Called Love’ (feat. Richard Bedford)”features chunky electro basslines with forward-thinking, euphoric melody drops, creating a powerful song-driven anthem that upholds Above & Beyond’s unique ability to marry innovative electronic grooves with stirring, thoughtful lyrics. Both tracks have been made into beautifully poignant music videos by talented director Ferry Gouw.

The globetrotting Anjunabeats bosses are nearing the end of their extensive Group Therapy North American Tour with only a handful of shows left. After sell out shows in St. Louis, New York, Montreal, Los Angeles, Denver, Vancouver, Calgary, Sacramento, Seattle, Las Vegas, Scottsdale, San Diego and Newport Beach anyone attending the final 8 shows are advised purchase tickets in advance.

The success is the result of years of hard work for Above & Beyond, with a CV that includes performing to 1 million people on Barra Beach in Rio and soundtracking the launch of Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic SpaceshipTwo. Building up an unstoppable momentum in the past 12 months, the UK-based trio made their debut at the legendary Glastonbury festival last year and saw the 350th episode of their Trance Around The World radio show become the world’s top trending topic on social network Twitter in December 2010.
