Above & Beyond Celebrate Milestone 450th Radio Show w/ Group Therapy India

Above & Beyond will celebrate their milestone 450th radio show on November 10th with Group Therapy India, teaming up with the Sunburn Festival promoters Submerge. TATW450 will take the form of a marathon 8-hour broadcast with a host of Anjunabeats’ most cutting-edge acts playing alongside Jono, Tony and Paavo, plus live participation from those listening in.

TATW450 inIndiawill take the Group Therapy experience to its global limits – with fans all over the world connecting and sharing their experiences in real time. If you’ve experienced Group Therapy in your own city, now is the time to experience it with the whole world tuning in.

Having named their legendary Anjunabeats label after a beach in Goa, Above & Beyond’s connection with India is deep and long-standing. With the country’s club scene growing rapidly, and a huge thirst for electronic music in the region, India was the perfect destination for this prestigious show. The first full Group Therapy production in India, this it the natural follow up to A&B’s memorable set at Sunburn Festival last December.

“India, its people and music have always had a special place in our hearts,” said A&B’s Paavo Siljamaki. “Not only does the dance music culture span thousands of years there, we’ve witnessed incredible growth of the electronic music there since we first started Anjunabeats. TATW450 will be broadcast in the country that was the starting point for everything we do. Let your friends know, join us online, and together in India we’ll all make this our biggest global celebration to date.”

Nikhil Chinapa from Indian promoters Submerge, said: “Ten years ago when we started a dance music collective called Submerge. We never expected to get this far, this soon. The support that Above & Beyond have extended to the scene in India has been critical in bringing about this change. TATW has thousands of fans across India and it has been a key factor in educating and entertaining fans of dance music across the country.”

Over the past 18 months, Above & Beyond have toured their Group Therapy themed show across the globe – an epic, no expense spared production with immersive visuals, live messaging from the band and support from Anjunabeats’ finest acts.

The venue and line-up up will soon be released, along with details of all the ways you can get involved in this event. To sign-up for priority access to tickets and advance information on every aspect of the show, visit www.facebook.com/aboveandbeyond.

Out April 2

Fresh off their wildly successful Group Therapy Miami party, Above & Beyond has released the Love Is Not Enough EP featuring Zoë Johnston, now available worldwide.

An elegant, melodic, progressive builder with stirring strings and poignant vocals from Zoë Johnston, “Love Is Not Enough” perfectly captures the bittersweet beauty of an intense, but ultimately unsuccessful relationship. The track is the latest single from Above & Beyond’s critically acclaimed Group Therapy album, which Mixmag deemed the “artist album of the year” for 2011.

‘Love Is Not Enough’ is a song from the heart about the challenges in a relationship that can arise outside of a core feeling of love for someone. Love is not enough to be with someone – a relationship needs to work day to day.” says Jono Grant of Above & Beyond.

Adding some stadium-sized energy to the EP is the huge, groove-fueled Above & Beyond Club Mix in all its riff-driven glory. It has received huge responses on the trio’s recent North America tour, as well as at the Group Therapy Miami event.

The North America version of the Love Is Not Enough EP, out on Ultra Music, also includes the Andrew Bayer & James Grant remix of Above & Beyond’s “Prelude.”

Further packages will be released next week on Monday, April 2, including remixes from US dance heavyweight Kaskade, the prolific Mat Zo under his drum & bass guise MRZO, rising stars Maor Levi & Bluestone and bass/electronica producer Syknro.

Having sold out the Hollywood Palladium in record time last year, Above & Beyond will return Los Angeles for Group Therapy LA with three gigs at the prestigious Shrine Auditorium on May 17, 18 & 19. Tickets have already sold out for the May 18 & 19, but you can get tickets for Thursday show HERE.

Above & Beyond return to LA on their Group Therapy Tour! Check out the details of their LA stop as they embark on their North America Tour this year:

On May 18thAbove & Beyond will return to Los Angeles, playing the landmark Shrine Auditorium during Part 2 of their 2012 North American Tour.

In 2010 Jono, Paavo & Tony sold out LA’s Hollywood Palladium for their 350th radio show (TATW) celebrations, the biggest party on the Anjunabeats calendar. In 2011, they sold out two shows at the same venue in just 48 hours. As described by Jono from Above & Beyond, “LA has always been an extremely special place for us where some of our most dedicated fans live. It’s one of our favorite places in the world to perform, and we can’t wait to bring Group Therapy back for 2012.”

COMMUNITY: Anjunadeep 04 Mixed by Jaytech & James Grant (Release Date: February 27)

Anjunadeep 04 Mixed by Jaytech & James Grant (Release Date: February 27)

With the past two editions both hitting #1 in the iTunes Dance Albums Chart, Anjunadeep 04 mixed by Jaytech and James Grant arrives with the label in better health than ever before – as evidenced by a recent DJ Mag nomination for ‘Best British Record Label’.

The last 12 months has seen the Above & Beyond imprint unveil one of house music’s hottest new talents in Dusky, whose album ‘Stick By This’ has been acclaimed by everyone from DJ Mag (“an intoxicating album full of life and flashes of brilliance ****”) to Pete Tong – with Tong naming it as one of his favourite albums of the year – while other Anjunadeep artists such as Matt Lange and Andrew Bayer on the label have blossomed, the former being described by BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe as “the new Deadmau5” and the latter’s ‘It’s Artificial’ LP winning plaudits from Lowe again and even day Radio 1 host Nick Grimshaw.

Showcasing tracks and remixes from acts like Dusky, Tom Middleton, Maceo Plex, Vincenzo, Solarity and Andrew Bayer, ‘Anjunadeep04’ mixed by Jaytech & James Grant is the latest showcase of the label’s evolution; a 28 track journey through deep house, immersive melodic grooves and modern progressive.

Representing the deeper, more house-influenced end of Anjunadeep’s increasingly wide spectrum, label A&R James Grant effortlessly combines warm Maceo Plex’esque electronics, classic deep house vibes (Dusky “Lost Highway”), low-bass grooves (Tom Middleton’s Liquatech Mix of Paronator “No Gravity”) and the melodic house sound in which Anjunadeep has made its name.

Grant also contributes three remixes to the mix in collaboration with Andrew Bayer and acknowledges the key role played by Bayer in achieving the desired sound for CD1: “We had a clear vision for where we wanted the mix to head and Andrew really helped me realise that in this mix,” says Grant.

Taking time out from finishing his highly anticipated second artist album, AustralianAnjunadeep star Jaytech picks up the baton and pursues the more upbeat side of the label’s sound. From the future disco synths of Suspect 44’s “Neon Feel” to the melodic big room tech of Soundprank’s “Boundless Energy”, the Australian lays down a masterclass in modern progressive. Bringing things to an emphatic climax, Jaytech’s own “Atlantic” is the perfect embodiment of the musicality and class sewn into the mix.

To celebrate the upcoming release of ‘Anjunadeep 04’, James Grant and Jaytech have each mixed a 15 minute mini-mix of their respective CDs:
