Above & Beyond are bringing the Group Therapy experience to Miami Music Week 2012 with a special event at the legendary Bayfront Park Amphitheatre on Thursday March 22.
Joining Above & Beyond will be an all-star quartet of producers from their scene-leading Anjunabeats label - Mat Zo, Arty, Jaytech and Boom Jinx. Covering the full spectrum of the Anjunabeats sound, the event runs from 5pm to 11pm EST.
21 year old Arty should need no introduction having taken the trance and house worlds by storm in the past 18 months – melding them together in a way not seen before. 2011 saw him rise to #25 in the DJMag Top 100 poll, collaborate with Dirty South, perform NYE in New York City for a sold-out crowd of 10,000 revelers, plus gain support from the likes of Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Swedish House Mafia, and of course, Avicii.
Next to take on Miami is Anjunabeats’ very own ‘”Superman” Mat Zo, also just 21 years of age. He has consistently cemented a reputation as one of the label’s most prolific, innovative and forward-thinking artists – with recent hits including “Bipolar”, the Skrillex-supported “Mozart” (with Arty) and “Superman” itself. The only man to top the Beatport trance and drum & bass charts simultaneously, Zo is currently working on his hugely anticipated debut artist album, which is primed to showcase his maverick talents in full effect.
Having topped the iTunes Dance Album Chart for two years running with his Anjunadeep 02 & 03 compilations, rising Australian DJ Jaytech is again mixing Anjunadeep 04 this coming February and has a new artist album planned for the summer. Jaytech is a man on a mission and the perfect choice to warm up a buzzing #GroupTherapyMiami crowd.
Finally, also joining this colossal Group Therapy Miami line up is Norwegian uber-producer Boom Jinx, one of Anjunabeats’ most talented, prolific and eclectic artists, with recent work ranging from the massive vocal trance anthem “Phoenix From The Flames” to deep progressive gem “Pieces Of The Puzzle” with Soundprank.
Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy show is centered around their critically acclaimed second artist album (“the biggest artist album of the year” – Mixmag), which features Billboard Dance hits like “Sun & Moon” and “Thing Called Love” – as well as their forthcoming single “Love Is Not Enough”. The show’s production takes the DJ set up into the realm of concert theatre, with emotive visuals, live video messaging from the band and a story-telling theme, combining to create a unique dancefloor experience for fans.
Above & Beyond and their Anjunabeats label have also been nominated for a host of awards in the IDMA Final Ballot – which will be announced during Miami music week. Above & Beyond have been nominated for Best European DJ and Best Artist (Group), with their huge “Sun & Moon” anthem in the Best Trance Track category and Anjunabeats in the Best Label category. Completing their nominations is Trance Around The World, which is in the running for the Best Radio Mix Show. You can vote here.
Above & Beyond is currently on the road for Part 1 of their Group Therapy North American Tour. Group Therapy Part 2 coming May & June 2012 – Dates To Be Announced! Check www.aboveandbeyond.nu for updates.

With Las Vegas now firmly established as an international hotspot for house music, TAO Las Vegas is going back to where it all started. On Sunday, May 29, TAO Nightclub presents the return of international superstar Erick Morillo for an epic 8 hour set to celebrate the fifth year anniversary of a legendary Memorial Day Weekend event that first put Vegas on the dance music map.
“Erick Morillo has the unique ability to capture the energy of a room and hold it until the sun rises. TAO has been able to build on his energy over the past five years and we’ve created a holiday within a holiday every Memorial Day Weekend and this year will be no different,” said Jason Strauss, Partner, TAO Las Vegas.
In the last five years, Memorial Day Weekend at TAO Las Vegas with Erick Morillo has become a veritable institution, exploding from 1,000 to 7,000 people last year and drawing clubbers from all over the world. The famed Asian-inspired nightclub, complete with 20-foot Buddha statue and state-of-the-art audio system, is the perfect backdrop for this larger-than-life house music pioneer. Indeed, the revolutionary night of house music has served as a catalyst in making Vegas one of the biggest markets for house music in the world, and TAO is ready to continue the tradition.
Erick Morillo says, “My Vegas love affair all started with TAO and the Memorial day weekend party has become a summer kick-off institution. We really jump started the entire house music revolution here that is now exploding in Vegas today and it’s really special to come back to play again for their 5 year anniversary.”
Morillo is the owner of Subliminal Records and a platinum-selling artist whose hits include Reel 2 Real’s “I Like To Move It,” “Break Down The Doors” and “Live Your Life” (with Eddie Thoneick, featuring Shawnee Taylor). At the onset of 2011, he launched a celebrated monthly DJ residency at the newly minted dance music mecca Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. This summer he returns to Ibiza for his annual residency this year dubbed “Subliminal Invasion,” with a companion CD to be released in June, along with his latest single “Stronger” on Subliminal Records.
