Tomorrowworld Gears Up For Ticket Sales To Begin And Announces First Wave Of Names And Stages

It was just one month ago that pre-registration for tickets opened for the first edition of TomorrowWorld, set to land in Chattahoochee Hills, USA, this coming September. In that time people from over 200 different countries around the globe have registered their interest in being a part of history as the worlds most popular festival prepares to travel abroad for the first time, almost replicating the intense interest shown for Tomorrowland in Belgium where 214 countries signed up for a piece of the action! Now, just days are left before the next step of madness kicks in… the ticket sales!

On Wednesday 24th April, tickets for Global Journey will go on sale at 11AM EST, offering buyers the choice of travel packages from 35 cities across the planet; including Rio De Janiero, Tokyo and London – as well as multiple flights from within the USA including Los Angeles, Washington DC and New York! Coupled with the choice of camping or 3 tiers of hotels (bronze, silver and gold) this is THE best way to travel to the festival and experience the madness that will be TomorrowWorld with nothing left to organize!

Saturday 27th April will see the release of the exclusive USA ticket sale, allowing residents an additional chance to bag tickets to the festival, as well as their required camping options. For those that miss out there is still the final worldwide ticket sale on Saturday May 4th!

Available on both these dates will be the option to join the DreamVille camping experience, the purpose built camping village at the heart of TomorrowWorld. With space for 35,000 people to spend 5 days immersed in the magical world of the festival, this really is the ultimate experience. Not only will guests be provided with a luxurious camping environment, DreamVille also hosts its very own welcome party till 1AM on the first night, called “The Gathering”! This week DreamVille dropped a sneak peak as to what can be expected in this YouTube trailer.

Talent for the first edition has begun to seep through and TomorrowWorld is proud to welcome first names in what will be a bill of over 300 artists! Sebastian IngrossoAxwellAlessoPorter Robinson and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Arena wise… Q-Dance slams into Atlanta bringing with it a genre of music Q-Dance played a large hand in creating – Hardstyle! With a whole host of Dutch and Belgian talent including Brennan Heart, Psycho Punkz & Coone, this is sure to be a highlight for many as the style of music sweeps across the US. It was just days ago the Bass stage was announced with the bottom-heavy business being catered for by ExcisionRusko and friends.

Stay tuned to the official Facebook page to be the first to see the new additions as they are announced daily.

Pre-registration is mandatory for all ticket sales and is still open at www.tomorrowworld.com – once completed the private link to the online shop will arrive in your inbox in plenty of time for the sales to begin!

Winter Music Conference Announces 2012 Dates: March 16-25

Winter Music Conference
March 16-25, 2012
Miami Beach, FL

October 12, 2011 – South Florida, U.S.A.

Winter Music Conference (WMC) opened its 2012 season in South Florida today with the announcement of the Winter Music Conference 2012 dates. This will be the 27th annual program for what is largely regarded as the pre-eminent platform on the global music industry calendar for launching new music, technology and trends. Winter Music Conference Week 2012 happens March 16 – 25, 2012 in Miami Beach, Florida.

For 2012, WMC plans to further enhance the WMC experience by delivering ten non-stop days of music programming in Miami Beach and Miami. This expansion will wrap the program week with two full weekends of parties and events. WMC Co-founder, Bill Kelly, explains, “Expanding the WMC dates was an easy decision given the high demand of artists, businesses and industry delegates. Miami Beach and the greater Miami area boast some of the most celebrated event and club venues as well as the hotels and resorts that comprise South Beach’s famed Art Deco District. Hotels, restaurants, cafes, shops and every sort of possible entertainment venue are filled to capacity during WMC Week to the point where five days just wasn’t enough.”

New for 2012, WMC will be unveiling correlated segments of its industry program dedicated to music and fashion on its opening weekend and indie rock meets electronica programming under the WMC Rocks header on the closing weekend, in addition to its standard programming and events. More details will be announced over the coming weeks.

Electric Zoo Payment Plans, Dust Reduction Efforts

Electric Zoo 2011: Party People
Payment Plans let you pay for your passes in installments
LAST DATE TO ORDER VIA LAYAWAY IS JULY 1

You know you want to go to Electric Zoo but you don’t have all the money for a pass available right now. If only you could pay a little now and a little later, right? Well we’ve got good news for you!

New in 2011, Electric Zoo fans have the option to purchase their pass on a payment plan. Layaway options are available when ordering online or by calling 888-512-SHOW (7469). There are 2 different Payment Plan options:
  • 50% Down: This plan allows you to pay 50% of your order total plus service fees now, with the remaining 50% automatically deducted from your card on August 1, 2011.
  • 30% Down + Equal Payments: This plan allows you to pay 30% of your order total plus service fees now, with the remaining balance automatically deducted in equal payments on July 1st and August 1st, 2011.
Let’s clear the air: Dust reduction efforts for 2011
When Electric Zoo opened up last year, on Saturday September 4 at 11am, the Randall’s Island Park lawn was lush, long, and seemingly healthy. But the dancing and frolicking of 25,000 pairs of feet coupled with the unusually dry summer took a toll, and by the end of the day, the grass had been trampled and a lot of dirt had been kicked up into the air. When the wind gusted – especially around the Sunday School Grove, but in other parts of the festival grounds too – the dust was downright obnoxious. Many of you, understandably, have expressed concerns about this. We hear you, and we’ve been working on measures to address this problem in 2011. We’re serious about doing everything we can to minimize the dust, so we can ALL breathe easy and focus on what we love – the music!
Here’s a list of things we’ve put in place to reduce the dust:
  • Flooring will be used in all of the tents. This means that where all that dancing is going on, the grass will be protected and dirt won’t be kicked up.
  • Dirt service roads will be covered with flooring. As our crew travels in golf carts and other vehicles to get from place to place around the perimeter of the festival grounds, there’ll be far less dirt stirred up.
  • Making use of existing pavement for high traffic areas, including the area directly in front of the main stage. The main stage will be moved back this year in order to create more space. This will mean that a large area directly in front of the main stage will now be situated on pavement rather than grass. So when you “tear up the dancefloor” in front of the main stage, you’ll no longer be tearing up grass and kicking up dirt at the same time
We’ve also hired lawn specialists to consult with and work with our friends at Randall’s Island Park to improve on the maintenance of the field and to get it as healthy as possible before Electric Zoo. At their recommendation, we have also taken these measures:
  • Installed additional irrigation in early Spring
  • Lawn aeration
  • Reseeding, fertilizing and adding gypsum
Stay tuned for more lineup announcements!
