PINGPONG‘s Social Networks:

1. PINGPONG started not too long ago, only in 2012, but you’ve already been playing at some of the largest dance music festivals all over Germany. Tell us a bit about how the group started.
PP – We started years ago as solo artists, but we are now a couple and were always apart. So we bundled our music forces and founded PINGPONG.

2. What is the meaning behind PINGPONG?
PP – PINGPONG is simply the german word for when DJs spin music together back 2 back. That fits us perfectly because this is how we do it. 🙂

3. Tell us about the soul behind PINGPONG.
PP – First of all, we love house music with all its faces. Thomas is more of the straight “beat and groove” fan and I love the harmonies and emotional parts of house music. So PINGPONG is the unity of all influences of house music!

4. Aside from your spectacular DJ sets, you’re also working now in the studio. Tell us about your next release KONGKING on Dusted Decks Records.
PP – Oh yes, the KONGKING release! As we were working on another track in the studio, we made a baseline for it. But then we thought, “This baseline is so huge, it must be a solo club track.” Dusted Decks also shared and loved our idea and the track. And that’s it! KONGKING was born. 🙂

5. What do you think your “biggest break” or “greatest opportunity” has been so far in your musical career?
PP – For us there has not only been this one big break or special opportunity, they are all magical moments for us. It’s the way you go… the important thing is that we are always authentic and love what we do. We make music with heart, music which we like. It is great when people share our feelings, that’s the best thing for an artist.

6. What are your music career goals in the next 1 to 3 years?
PP – To continue just like we have in the last few years. We have worked with a lot of great bands and artists. Among them being White Apple Tree, Kyau & Albert, Abby, Lucia, Purple Disco Machine, Lexer and many more. Especially with White Apple Tree and 37 Records in California, we’d like to cooperate with them more later this year. There will be a follow up track to our “PINGPONG Snowflakes Remix”. And we are working on own tracks as well. Be curious 🙂

7. What do you love to do when you are not working on music? Any other talents, passions, or hobbies?
PP – ohhh yeahhhhh… We kiss kiss kiss 😉

8. Lots of us would love to see you perform here. You’ve been performing quite a bit in Europe, and now we have the possibility of seeing you perform in San Diego, California! Can you tell us about your date in San Diego?
PP – That’s true, September the 20th, there will be a huge festival in San Diego named “Color Splash”. We played at some similar Holi Festivals in Europe and it’s absolutely sensational. Every hour the sky erupts with a truly spectacular display of color and energy, as thousands of people celebrate in the Indian tradition of “throwing color”. To play at such an amazing event in California is so cool for us. We can’t wait. Hooray! 🙂

9. What’s the best way we can stay in touch and keep up with your latest mixes and releases?
PP – Of course thru the internet. Listen to our music on There will be a new pingpong podcast each month, our festival sets, release & remix news and much more. you can also get in touch with us on facebook. address:

Roger Shah Urges Fans To Join In Global Collaboration Song

Roger Shah Urges Fans To Join In Global Collaboration Song

In a world where it’s hard to differentiate oneself within the global DJ scene, ROGER SHAH has done just that. His performances never fail to amaze as he merges the art of DJ-ing together with live arrangement. With one hand he plays his wireless keyboard and with the other he mixes a selection of roof-raising releases. His natural ability to blend mesmerizing melodies, pulsating basslines and groove filled percussion into dancefloor anthems sees him tour the world like a true rockstar. Ultimately he is humbled by the support of his fans who have voted him in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll for five consecutive years and gave him a double EMPO nomination for ‘Best Trance & Progressive DJ‘ and ‘Best Radio Show‘.

Roger Shah“it’s an amazing feeling and a driving force for me to know that there are so many fans out there supporting me as an artist, voting for me for the DJ mag poll but also writing to me how important some of my music became for them in their lives, helping them to go through hard periods and more. It’s very touching and this is why I’m doing what I’m doing.”

As a special gesture to his fans, Roger Shah invites everyone to participate on his new upcoming song called “Mueve Tu Mundo” (Change your world). The lyrics invite to sing along with Roger on the chorus. Fans can record their vocal part of the original chorus and send as mp3/wav/aiff files or videos. All of these vocals will be combined to create a huge choir with voices from all over the world. It doesn’t matter if one sings perfectly or not, as long as minimal effort is shown. On the production side Roger keeps very busy. His vocal masterpiece that he made in collaboration with JES and Brian Laruso was released on the legendary Magik Muzik label and remixed by Egyptian trance kings Aly & Fila, Dutch producer Jesse VoornPedro Del Mar & DoubleV, and Roger Shah himself under his alias Sunlounger. The official music video features a sunny boat ride journey highlighting the beauty of Miami’s shores.

The Roger Shah and Aly & Fila collaboration ‘Perfect Love’ hit the Top 10 of the ASOT Tune Of The Year poll, while Roger’s cooler Sunlounger guise has released ‘Finca’ with rolling melodies, uplifting pads and hooky piano creating an altogether cooler progressive-house anthem in the making and massive support by the likes of Armin Van Buuren or Above & Beyond to name a few.

Only a few weeks ago Roger rocked the Ultra Music Festival in South Korea. Ultra which has its home base in Miami is taking its festival world wide with other dates including South America and Europe. Ultra Korea was organized at Seoul’s Olympic Stadium Complex. Other artists on the line up included Tommy Trash, Krewella, Fedde Le Grand, Afrojack, Carl Cox, Armin Van Buuren, Avicii, Kaskade and Pedro Del Mar.

Forthcoming gigs include Future Sound Of Egypt 300 in both Amsterdam and Mexico City, The Mellomania Summer Cruise in Germany and the Summerdream Festival in Switzerland. Moreover Roger Shah will make his debut for Insomniac Events, the promoter known for the massive Electric Daisy Carnival festivals.

Roger has been working for a long time on the new SUNLOUNGER album which is due for release August 19th on Magic Island Records in cooperation with Black Hole Recordings. With the Sunlounger project he had chart entries on almost every continent. Pre-order the album here:

The first single release taken from the album will be “Sunlounger Feat. Alexandra Badoi – I’ll Be Fine.” Watch the teaser:

Roger Shah“I haven’t done too many shows this year because I wanted to have the time to deliver another outstanding Sunlounger album to keep my real Balearic fans happy. I hope that the trance family will appreciate my effort and show me some love and support me another year in this annual and important poll. It’s still like a dream for me that I was able to establish myself in this tough industry and to have a spot in the DJ Mag Top 100 for 5 consecutive years with a peak at #21.”

COMMUNITY: Sensation Germany Video, North America Tour + 2013 Release News – Moguai Caps Off an Amazing 2012!

Sensation Germany Video, North America Tour + 2013 Release News - Moguai Caps Off an Amazing 2012!

What a year it’s been for MOGUAI, kicking off with the release of his second full-length album ‘MPIRE’ back in January on dance music juggernaut deadmau5’s label mau5trap. This long-player contains a veritable bounty of jaw-dropping material and has produced some simply unbelievable singles, including the massive Beatport #1 ‘MPIRE’, ‘LYME (MOGUAI’s Crushed Lyme Mix)’ and also Tommy Trash’s Club Mix for their collaboration on ‘IN N’ OUT’. In addition to churning out his own works, his remixing magic is continually being enlisted by the biggest and best; he’s delivered his unique twist to singles by American Idol winner and pop superstar Kelly Clarkson, Dim Mak Records kingpin Steve Aoki, and the musical legend that is Moby – to name just a few! MOGUAI also co-produced a new track for one of the biggest girl groups on the planet, Girls Aloud, which is included on their Greatest Hits album Ten called “Every Now And Then”.

His non-stop touring schedule has taken him from the US to Japan and almost everywhere in between, seeing him thrill audiences with his unique style in the finest clubs and most lauded festival lineups on the planet. Highlights of 2012 include 7 shows in 5 days during Miami Music Week that came just after his debut on BBC Radio 1’s illustrious Essential Mix, playing poolside at Ushuaia in Ibiza for Avicii Sundays, a second successful tour of Asia and numerous festival appearances including Beyond Wonderland, Sunrise Festival and most recently at Sensation Germany.

You’d be forgiven for thinking that all this would be more than enough to keep one person busy, but – as we’ve come to expect with someone as dedicated to his craft as MOGUAI – he’s always pushing himself to do more. Throughout the year his ‘PUNX UP THE VOLUME’ radio show has grown from strength to strength and is now on the schedules of some of the best stations for dance music in the world, including 1Live in Germany, France’s Underground FGDance Tunes Radio in The Netherlands and USA station iHeartRadio’s ‘Evolution’ channel from the beginning of December.

There’s plenty more too to come from this mix maestro in the coming months as we move into 2013; his collaboration ‘MAMMOTH’ with Belgian brothers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike (featured in the Tomorrowland 2012 official aftermovie) will get its eagerly awaited release at the beginning of next year, so be sure to keep an eye out for further news on this release. With a tour of North America through January, once again dance music lovers the world over are being spoilt by the main man MOGUAI.
