COMMUNITY: Marquee Announces Kaskade’s Exclusive 2012 Las Vegas Residency

Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is proud to announce the return of Kaskade for an exclusive 2012 residency, which will begin January 14 and showcase brand new production content.  In addition to packing in the crowds with monthly shows at the nightclub, Kaskade also will play several dates at Marquee Dayclub this upcoming pool season, making Marquee the only club venue in Las Vegas where electronic dance music fans can take in the sounds of America’s #1 DJ.   
 
Kaskade ushered in 2012 by playing a record-breaking 12-hour New Year’s Eve set and debuting an all-new show on Marquee’s larger-than-life 40-foot LED DJ booth with stunning custom visuals, state-of-the-art Funktion One sound system with 32,000-watt subwoofers, and beautiful costumed dancers. His mix of thrilling house and electro kept revelers dancing from midnight to noon on the first day of the year.

Having a monthly residency in Vegas gives me the chance to stretch out musically, play longer sets, and share some really unique magical moments with my fans. Vegas has exploded in the last two years, the parties just keep getting bigger and better, the city and Marquee are can’t miss destinations for dance music fans,” Kaskade says.
 
Kaskade’s recent double disc album ‘Fire & Ice’ (featuring Skrillex, Dada Life, Skylar Grey and more) hit #4 on iTunes Overall Album Chart and the Billboard Top 20. In 2011 he was voted “America’s Best DJ” by DJ Times, capping off a year that also saw him host the legendary BBC Essential Mix (his mix was voted one of the top four of the year), headline America’s first ever touring electronic music festival IDentity and sell out back-to-back shows at NYC Roseland Ballroom. With so much to do this New Year’s Eve, it can be a TOUGH decision to figure out your plans. For one thing, most of the Los Angeles massives have traveled outside of the city to Orange County, and given that enough promotion has gone into getting the word out about events like Together As One and White Wonderland, I won’t focus on those events here.

Insomniac is excited to kick off 2012 by inviting fans to attend an all-new 21+ music festival “White Wonderland.”  The two-day, all-white winter wonderland themed festival will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center on December 31, 2011, and January 1, 2012, and will feature world class headliners Kaskade and Steve Angello along with a dazzling display of magical effects and artists guaranteed to provide fans with a White Wonderland experience they won’t forget.

“I’m excited to be able to deliver an Insomniac New Year’s event to Southern California,” said Pasquale Rotella, CEO and founder of Insomniac Events. “Our fans have been asking for a New Year’s festival and I am thrilled to be producing an all-white event to introduce our newest festival brand, White Wonderland.”

White Wonderland will be a two-day 21+ event hosting a massive stage of music, theatrics and state-of-the-art production. Joining Kaskade to help Insomniac ring in the New Year will be Benny Benassi, Paul Van Dyk, and Dada Life. Joining Steve Angello to celebrate New Year’s Day 2012 with Insomniac will be AN21 & Max Vangeli, and Thomas Gold.

“With the White Wonderland theme comes an all-white dress code for our attendees to participate in,” added Rotella. “I’m looking forward to bringing the first grand-scale white party concept to the U.S. White party EDM events occur all over the world, and America deserves to have one too.”  Fans will be required to dress in all-white attire. Tickets for White Wonderland will be available in single-day or two-day packages with a VIP option and will go on sale on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at noon. Two-day General Admission tickets start at $140, with New Year’s Eve single-day tickets at $80 and New Year’s Day single-day tickets at $75. Two-day VIP tickets start priced at $250, while New Year’s Eve single-day VIP tickets are $150 and New Year’s Day single-day VIP tickets are $120.

The White Wonderland VIP Experience will include expedited entry, access to VIP viewing decks, a VIP lanyard, and two drink tickets on each day.
