Sebastian Ingrosso Of Swedish House Mafia

Fresh from Miami Music Week where he played numerous solo shows in addition to two sold out consecutive headlining shows in front of 20,000 fans as one third of famedSwedish House Mafia, DJ and producer Sebastian Ingrosso returns to NYC on April 6 and 7 for his first NYC performance since selling out Madison Square Garden in December 2011 with fellow GRAMMY-nominatedSHM members, Axwell and Steve Angello.

Ingrosso owns the acclaimed Refune record label, where for over a decade, the imprint has been releasing a steady stream of original tracks and remixes including original productions such as “Kidsos,” “Meich,” and “How Soon Is Now” with David Guetta and Dirty South, and remixes of Justin Timberlake, Moby, Miike Snow, Royksopp and more.  As head of A&R for Refune, Sebastian is constantly discovering and developing new talent such as Alesso, Otto Knows, Style of Eye, AN21, Max Vangelli, Arno Cost, True Identity and Swanky Tunes.  Sebastian Ingrosso’s Refune Radio podcast recently launched and both episodes debuted at #1 worldwide on iTunes Music Podcast chart.

Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso made waves across the world during the summer and fall of 2011 with their massive single, “Calling.” Not only was it one of the biggest hits on the summer club and festival circuit, but it became the “must hear” track in sets from the world’s biggest DJs over the past year.  It was a top-3 track for Beatport and named hottest record in the world by Radio One’s Zane Lowe.  Ingrosso and Alesso returned with a vocal version of the hit, now titled “Calling (Lose My Mind)” featuring vocals from OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder. The new version premiered on Swedish House Mafia’s takeover of legendary Pete Tong’s Radio One show back on February 17, released on March 9 and went to #1 on Beatport.

Recent undertakings for Sebastian Ingrosso as part of the Swedish House Mafia include the launch of the Absolut “Greyhound” campaign that includes a music video, also being used as a commercial on national television, featuring robotic greyhounds racing in the desert as the 3 bandmembers perform. “Greyhound” the single released March 12 and as a major debut, it charted Top 15 in theUK, along with Top 5 onUK iTunes and Top 10 onUS iTunes Dance.  Sebastian will also be performing with Swedish House Mafia on April 13 & 20 at Coachella Music and Arts Festival in addition to playing two solo sets at the famed festival on April 14 and 21.

COMMUNITY: Above & Beyond Announce #GroupTherapyMiami with Arty, Mat Zo, Jaytech and Boom Jinx

Above & Beyond
Announce #GroupTherapyMiami
with Arty, Mat Zo, Jaytech and Boom Jinx

Miami Music Week 2012
Thursday, March 22nd
Bayfront Park Amphitheatre

Above & Beyond: Paavo Siljamäki, Tony McGuinness, and Jono Grant

Above & Beyond are bringing the Group Therapy experience to Miami Music Week 2012 with a special event at the legendary Bayfront Park Amphitheatre on Thursday March 22.

Joining Above & Beyond will be an all-star quartet of producers from their scene-leading Anjunabeats label - Mat Zo, Arty, Jaytech and Boom Jinx. Covering the full spectrum of the Anjunabeats sound, the event runs from 5pm to 11pm EST.

21 year old Arty should need no introduction having taken the trance and house worlds by storm in the past 18 months – melding them together in a way not seen before. 2011 saw him rise to #25 in the DJMag Top 100 poll, collaborate with Dirty South, perform NYE in New York City for a sold-out crowd of 10,000 revelers, plus gain support from the likes of Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Swedish House Mafia, and of course, Avicii.

Next to take on Miami is Anjunabeats’ very own ‘”Superman” Mat Zo, also just 21 years of age.  He has consistently cemented a reputation as one of the label’s most prolific, innovative and forward-thinking artists – with recent hits including “Bipolar”, the Skrillex-supported “Mozart” (with Arty) and “Superman” itself. The only man to top the Beatport trance and drum & bass charts simultaneously, Zo is currently working on his hugely anticipated debut artist album, which is primed to showcase his maverick talents in full effect.

Having topped the iTunes Dance Album Chart for two years running with his Anjunadeep 02 & 03 compilations, rising Australian DJ Jaytech is again mixing Anjunadeep 04 this coming February and has a new artist album planned for the summer. Jaytech is a man on a mission and the perfect choice to warm up a buzzing #GroupTherapyMiami crowd.

Finally, also joining this colossal Group Therapy Miami line up is Norwegian uber-producer Boom Jinx, one of Anjunabeats’ most talented, prolific and eclectic artists, with recent work ranging from the massive vocal trance anthem “Phoenix From The Flames” to deep progressive gem “Pieces Of The Puzzle” with Soundprank.

Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy show is centered around their critically acclaimed second artist album (“the biggest artist album of the year” – Mixmag), which features Billboard Dance hits like “Sun & Moon” and “Thing Called Love” – as well as their forthcoming single “Love Is Not Enough”. The show’s production takes the DJ set up into the realm of concert theatre, with emotive visuals, live video messaging from the band and a story-telling theme, combining to create a unique dancefloor experience for fans.

Check out the teaser of the emotional, cinematic official music video for “Love Is Not Enough” here.

Above & Beyond and their Anjunabeats label have also been nominated for a host of awards in the IDMA Final Ballot – which will be announced during Miami music week. Above & Beyond have been nominated for Best European DJ and Best Artist (Group), with their huge “Sun & Moon” anthem in the Best Trance Track category and Anjunabeats in the Best Label category. Completing their nominations is Trance Around The World, which is in the running for the Best Radio Mix Show. You can vote here.

The #GroupTherapyMiami event forms part of the Ultra Live series. Tickets are on sale here.

Above & Beyond is currently on the road for Part 1 of their Group Therapy North American Tour. Group Therapy Part 2 coming May & June 2012 – Dates To Be Announced! Check www.aboveandbeyond.nu for updates.
